A sight damper is a device attached to the sight area of the bow to reduce the vibrations that occur when an arrow is shot.
It is usually made of rubber or other elastic materials and minimizes shaking or trembling of the sight.
When the bowstring is released, vibrations travel to the sight, which can disturb the archer’s view or loosen the sight’s screws over time.
